Premium Polocrosse Racquets Made By Polocrosse Players For Polocrosse Players

In the world of polocrosse, few racquets have become as distinctive and recognised amongst the worlds top players as ours. Handcrafted in a purpose built facility on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, every RRIOTT Polocrosse Racquet is the collaborative result of a highly skilled group of dedicated craftsman that, like you, love to play polocrosse.
At RRIOTT Polocrosse, we are committed to building racquets of exacting and unparalleled performance because as polocrosse players that's what we want to play with. We play polocrosse (and tinker with) our racquets as much as you do. The only difference is that when we want to change a product, we come to work. We are proud of our workmanship and build every racquet as though it were going to be our own. So whether you play with a plastic or graphite racquet or prefer conventional cane, you can be assured that you are investing in a racquet of unequalled quality, performance and workmanship.

Made by Polocrosse Players for Polocrosse Players

RRIOTT Polocrosse is proud to offer some of the world’s finest polocrosse racquets, having grown up in a family where polocrosse was a way of life Jeremy Marriott understands the demands of the most discerning players and has built a business that relies on the continued provision of the highest quality racquets.

Catering for the beginner right through to the professional RRIOTT polocrosse is the only racquet making organisation in the world that offers you the choice of all forms of racquets. From the cane head racquet for the traditionalist through to the latest polymer heads RRIOTT Polocrosse uses only the finest quality raw materials individually hand picked by Jeremy himself.

Each racquet is individually handcrafted and built in accordance with the strictest specifications that have been developed over the many years the Marriott family have been playing polocrosse (almost since its inception).

Continued development and innovation has resulted in RRIOTT polocrosse leading the way in introducing new initiatives, this can be seen in the way that other racquet makers copy the developments of RRIOTT Polocrosse.

RRIOTT Polocrosse Firsts

In 2005 RRIOTT Polocrosse identified the need for a competitively priced introductory polocrosse kit, In many cases groups and clubs wanting to try polocrosse could not justify the cost of new equipment and subsequently were forced to use racquets discarded by others. Obviously people hand over old racquets for a reason (often because they are broken or no good to play with any longer) and subsequently new groups to the game of polocrosse became disheartened when they found it hard to throw or pick up the ball with substandard racquets.

In order to remedy this RRIOTT Polocrosse introduced the Polocrosse Starter Kit  specifically designed for clubs starting out but at a competitive price. Our competitors who had been selling multiple racquets at full price to beginning clubs for many years were soon found out and many now offer similar starter packs using their second rate canes.

So popular have our kits been we have supplied them throughout the world to Pony Clubs, Riding Clubs, Barns, Stables, New polocrosse clubs and Polocrosse Associations including the Polocrosse Association of Australia

In 1994 RRIOTT Polocrosse started testing and designing the first Extra large (Fat Head) racquet in 1997 RRIOTT Polocrosse launched the first (Fat Head) racquet and after 5 years of down playing the benefits of such a racquet almost all of our competitors have launched their own models.

For almost 10 years RRIOTT Polocrosse has been using a nylon line for stringing every net into every polymer and graphite head racquet we make. Only after ten years of refuting the benefits of such a cord has the rest of the industry stared to follow our lead.

At the Australian National Titles in Darwin in 2002 RRIOTT Polocrosse introduced our popular Plastic Coated Head racquet within 12 months copies were already being produced by our competitors.

Classification
Probably the biggest innovation at RRIOTT Polocrosse over our nearly 20 years in business has been the revelation that not all racquets are created equal.
Although every other racquet maker will tell you that each and every racquet is of the same quality and exhibits the same balance we admit that there are premium balanced racquets and that balance varies from each racquet to the next, as a result we are the first racquet maker in the world to implement a grading system to ensure that those concerned with ensuring they have the absolute best balanced racquet available can whilst ensuring that beginners just starting out are able to purchase a quality racquet at reasonable price.

YELLOW LABEL (Development Racquet)
Built to our strict specifications each Yellow Label Branded racquet is designed for beginners and those starting out, Our Yellow Label racquets are built that little bit heavier than the red and black label racquets in order to handle the stresses placed upon them by beginners (being trodden on by horses etc). These racquets are all fitted with one of our premium nets set specifically for beginners allowing you to throw the ball easily but also hold onto it when you want.

PURPLE LABEL (Junior Racquet)
Designed specifically for the Junior player the RRIOTT Polocrosse Purple Lablel racquet is built recognising that Juniors should not have to play with racquets designed for adults. Just because Junior players are younger than many does not mean they are worse players than us. In fact in many cases Juniors may be better than many other players or because of their very nature become better than all of us next year. Keeping this in mind we feel it is important that Juniors not be lumbered with a racquet designed for an adult or even worse a beginner. Each Purple Label Polocrosse Racquet comes equipped with one of our premium nets adjusted to suit Juniors (Typically Slightly Deeper than the Norm) and the shortened handle is bound with a quality sports grip for your comfort. Available in a range of weights and flexes each racquet has a thinner grip than our standard red label racquets and sports a shaft 100mm shorter than the standard.

ORANGE LABEL (Ladies Racquet)
Leveraging Peta's considerable experience playing polocrosse at national level whilst listening to lady polocrosse players request’s Jeremy and Peta have been able to tailor these racquets to exhibit the qualities most commonly requested by women players. Each of our Orange Label racquets is specifically tailored to suit lady players. Each Racquet Grip is reduced in thickness to fit feminine hands, we select some of our lightest cane for use in each orange label racquet, ensuring that each racket is perfectly balanced. Typically female players have requested racquets that are medium to flexible in their shaft flex and as result we provide each orange label racquet with these characteristics. Finally each racquet is shipped with a net already adjusted to suit the majority of lady players ie not too deep but not too fast.

RED LABEL (Professional Racquet)
Utilizing the knowledge gained over 20 years of playing polocrosse each Red Label racquet is designed for the general polocrosse enthusiast. Whilst each racquet is designed and built to our specifications the Red Label range encompasses a wide range of weights, flexes and lengths and can be tailored with specific requirements at no additional charge. Each Red Label racquet exhibits the qualities demanded by A and E graders alike.

BLACK LABEL (Premium Racquet)
For true connoisseurs, we have a "Signature Series" of racquets which are selected from the top 5-10% of our canes. Every year we engage some of the world’s top players to select from our factory the top few percent of racquets, once they have selected their favourite racquets they are tagged and each one signed by the player and made available for sale. This method ensures that our top racquets are not only judged by us but also the worlds best players, It also allows us to put something more back into the game as each of these players is rewarded in sponsorship for their assistance. Each cane must display the exceptional qualities normally only reserved for a privileged few. Obviously each of these racquets can be tailored to your exact specifications and I personally guarantee that the quality of these racquets is as high as can be found anywhere in the world. Obviously as only a few world class players visit Victoria every year these racquets are limited in numbers and available on a first come first serve basis. Please feel free to email us to find out what players have endorsed our current stocks. Typically we will always have racquets in stock endorsed by World Cup Players, Other International Players and Australian Nationals Players.

GOLD LABEL (VIP Racquet)
RRIOTT Polocrosse is committed to rewarding our loyal clients and as such we provide a very special service offered by no other racquet makers in the world (yet).
Professional players know that you get the best selection of racquets when a new shipment of canes arrives. We have standing orders with key customers to produce a certain number of racquets for them each year. When each shipment of canes arrives as we process them we select the top canes that are suitable for the player and put them aside. This allows the player and the maker the greatest opportunity to make the finest offering available. This assures the player of the best canes possible.
For each of these VIP customers we keep a copy of the player’s favourite racquet in our Racquet Library to ensure we can produce exact replicas of the racquet.
Our Gold Label VIP racquets are only available to customers who have previously purchased a racquet from us and are strictly limited to 10 racquets per person per annum.
You will be surprised to know that there is no premium for this VIP service as its our way of saying thank you to those customers who support us hence all VIP racquets are priced at the same prices as the standard Black Label Racquets.

OUR LATEST INNOVATION “The RRIOTT Optimum”

It has taken over 12 years of development to get it right!! But finally with the developments in composite technology and the decreasing availability of quality cane it has become cost effective to build an entirely new polocrosse racquet shaft.

The Optimum is the first commercially available carbon fibre polocrosse racquet. The research and development invested in the RRIOTT Optimum shaft ensures that unlike copies already being peddled by our competitors the shaft behaves entirely like cane but with the added advantage of weight reduction, and remaining uniform throughout its life.

RRIOTT Polocrosse launched the Optimum at the 2007 World Cup and within a couple of days had sold out of all stock. Within the first 3 days those other racquet makers who initially disregarded the Optimum as a passing fad were cutting down composite Polo Mallets, UHF Antennas and Golf Clubs trying to make a similar shaft to ours.

It is always flattering when a competitor imitates your innovations but we are confident having put the research in over the last 10 years that our RRIOTT Optimum shaft is designed for polocrosse and polocrosse alone and will out perform any modified composite shaft.
